Labor Day Weekend. Rest and Fun!

  • Aug 30, 2016

Observed on the first Monday in September, Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894. Labor Day also symbolizes the end of summer for many Americans, and is celebrated with parties, parades and athletic events. So what are your plans?

How about one last thrilling ride on one of the many coasters at Elitch Gardens? You can also catch a baseball game on Monday, Sept 1st as our Rockies take on the Giants....add a little flare and help celebrate Purple Monday Fall Scarf day.

Make your mouth happy and check out A Taste of Colorado, open all weekend at Civic Park.

Sick of the City...check out the Wild West Air Fest in Steamboat Springs.

Whatever you decide to do, relax and have fun. We have been given Labor Day as a gift!

What is your favorite Labor Day Weekend activity?
