Celebrating Independence Day in Denver
Independence Day is this Saturday and many of us are making plans to celebrate.
Hopefully, you’re not working.
Some of you may have plans to go out of town, but for you who are staying,
I’ve come up with some fun ways to celebrate as well as a list of places you can go to view fireworks around Denver and the surrounding areas.
The Traditional Cookout
This is always a great way to gather your family and friends together for great food, fun, and entertainment. The best part is you can do it at the park or in the comfort of your own home.
Host it yourself or turn it into a potluck. Either way, everyone gets the opportunity to participate and enjoy the day together.
A Family Outing
Don't feel like planning or cooking? Consider going to an amusement park or sporting event.
Elitch Gardens and Water World are popular this time of year and there will be a game at Sports Authority Field July 4th.
The Adams County Fairgrounds has an event honoring the Military and first responders with a special ceremony beginning at 4pm, before the fireworks (see below) which may be a great option to get the family out of the house and do something different. They will have a variety of activities appropriate for all ages including live music and food.
Here’s a list of places where you can watch a firework display:
